Around 100 staff members of Navtech - an offshoot of European Aeronautical Group - have moved into new outer London offices
at Hersham Place.
The employees are now working in 11,000 sq ft of space at the technology and business park in Surrey after the organisation wanted to be located in a prestigious area that provides the chance for it to continue to grow.
Vice-president of production at Navtech Iain Millan explained the outer London offices
are ideally located and reflect the professionalism of the firm both for clients and those who work there.
"We needed a space that was more suited to our business needs yet did not compromise on quality. Hersham was ideal as it has the perfect mix of excellent facilities, people and product," he added.
One major draw to Hersham Place is its proximity to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports, as Navtech provides commercial aviation software solutions for flight operations.
Heathrow Airport is around 18 miles from the outer London offices
, while Gatwick's aviation hub lies 30 miles away.
It takes just over half an hour to reach London Waterloo from Hersham mainline train station, or 20 miles by car into the centre of the capital. With the A3 and M25 motorway network nearby, firms that choose to have a base at Hersham Place can also enjoy a wider talent pool due to the ability of individuals to commute.
Dominic Raab, MP for Esher and Walton-on-Thames, welcomed the Navtech move, commenting: "Britain has a comparative advantage in niche hi-tech manufacturing and engineering, so it's great to see that potential being developed locally."
Located in the Surrey borough of Elmbridge, the business and technology park was recently chosen by First Sports International as a new base due to its proximity to central London.
The organisation services clients including Wimbledon's All England Tennis Association and decided to relocate from Weybridge.
