Ashby House in Staines, which contains outer
London offices across several floors, is to be replaced by a new development.
Surrey Council has given the green light to Bell Hammer and LaSalle Investment Management for an 86,500 sq ft scheme which will deliver new headquarters offices for businesses to let.
At present, Ashby House offers offices across the ground floor, first north, second north and second south levels.
Bell Hammer's Joel Hawkins said Staines is seen as an important location for new corporate space because rents have remained robust in the Thames Valley area, supply is currently limited and occupiers from both overseas and the UK are interested in having a base here.
The Ashby House site's strong transport connections to the M25 and central London means tenants will be attracted to the new outer
London offices, LaSalle added. Total office space at present stands at more than 34,000 sq ft.
