Recent lettings on The Economist Plaza demonstrate that it retains its popularity as the pre-eminent business address in St James’s, London, SW1. Ryder Street Properties through their agents, Mellersh & Harding, were offering the 3,500 sq ft ninth floor, which enjoys 360˚ panoramic views across London on a new lease, and following competition from two parties for the space have completed a letting to a leading fund manager for a straight 10 year term at £85.00 per sq ft, following an initial 9 months rent free period.  
 
The second party, Lee Overlay Partners, represented by GVA Saxon Law, subsequently completed a lease of the 5th floor for a straight 10 year term @ £75.00 psf, with an initial 12 months rent free period. These are two of the highest rents achieved in St James’s for at least a year and reflect the perennial attraction of this local landmark.
