Business's to Office Space in Victoria
Situated in the heart of the City of Westminster, Victoria in London SW1 has become renowned as one of the most active commercial hubs in the city. With such excellent transport links and an array of options when it comes to quality office space, Victoria is considered a prime location by many organisations including a host of government institutions and numerous high street brands, department stores, bars and restaurants.

1. The regeneration factor

One of the key factors that has put Victoria on the commercial property map is the rapid regeneration that the area has been through in recent years.

Nova, the £2.2 billion scheme masterminded by Land Securities, was completed in 2017 introducing new housing and office space and a range of fine eateries.

Just two minutes from Victoria Station, dining quarter Nova Food is home to a variety of restaurants including a number of concept venues from top chefs like Jason Atherton. The whole development has prompted Victoria to emerge as a highly attractive neighbourhood with the potential to rival the likes of Knightsbridge and Belgravia.

Nova followed the opening of top brands in 2016 including Hugo Boss, Jo Malone, Gym Box and Italian gourmet favourite Coco di Mama, and the striking Zig Zag Building in 2015 charting the arrival of financial giants Jupiter Asset Management and Deutsche Bank. All of which has created a premium location to live, work, shop and play.

2. The transport factor

Victoria is one of the best served locations in London. Victoria and St James’s Park are on the District and Circle Line Tube between Sloane Square and St James’s Park, and Victoria is also on the Victoria Line between Pimlico and Green Park.

Victoria’s mainline station links London with Gatwick and the south coast courtesy of the Brighton main line, and Ramsgate and Dover via the Chatham main line. Many other connections are available providing easy routes to Catford, Dartford, East Grinstead and Uckfield.

The Gatwick Express is a non-stop service running from Victoria every 15 minutes with a journey time of 30 minutes.

As many as nineteen bus routes run through the area with five of them providing a 24-hour service. National Express operates a vast number of coaches from Victoria Coach Station to many destinations across the UK and Europe, from Aberdeen and Amsterdam to Utrecht and York.

So, it’s safe to say that Victoria is very well connected!

3. The green factor

London’s Victoria is surrounded by an abundance of lush green spaces offering the perfect lunchtime retreat.

Battersea Park lies on the banks of the Thames offering an oasis of green amidst a city backdrop. A range of formal gardens welcome visitors for a tranquil stroll, whilst those looking for a more energetic break can hire a bicycle or try their luck at mini golf. There’s also a children’s zoo featuring Shetland ponies, otters, monkeys and wallabies.

St James’s Park centres on a stunning lake and is home to several species of wild birds and waterfowl. Pay a visit to the resident pelicans at feeding time, and admire the vibrantly coloured flower beds which often form the backdrop to televised footage of Buckingham Palace.

Green Park sits alongside Buckingham Palace and is one of a number of Royal parks in London. A haven of trees and well-kept lawns, the park lacks formality but does play host to Royal Gun Salutes on special occasions.

Hyde Park is one of central London’s largest parks sprawling across 350 acres of gardens and lawns. The Serpentine is the park’s main feature where you can take out a boat, rest a while in one of the waterside cafés or take a swim at the Lido. On the other side of the Serpentine sits Kensington Palace and its beautiful gardens where you’ll find the Diana Memorial Playground.

Victoria Tower Gardens sit on the banks of the River Thames, just south of the Houses of Parliament. Enjoy a summer’s day ice cream, or visit the Emmeline Pankhurst memorial to take in a spot of local heritage.
