The iconic Battersea Power Station remains in the property news this week. Since coming to the market a few weeks ago there has been good interest for the site from a number of parties. In addition to interest from the new European Champions Chelsea, Property Week reports interest in the property from Godfrey Bradman with backing in part from the Ruben Brothers. Other parties said to be bidding include a Malaysian conglomerate.

Notwithstanding Chelsea’s European success on Saturday, the Deputy Mayor of London, Sir Edward Lister said that the transport infrastructure was not “geared up” for the Club adding “I don’t think the site is suitable for Chelsea and nor do a lot of people. Its not a goer”. Chelsea say that they would make a “significant contribution” to the extension of the Northern Line from Vauxhall. The site offers a fantastic opportunity for retail, London offices, housing and leisure uses. Back
