Heron Tower, London’s newest skyscraper and the tallest building in the City of London at 230m, has recently been named best commercial workplace at the British Council for Offices London and South East Awards.
The 460,000 sq ft London office building arranged over 36 floors provides some of the City’s best office accommodation and even includes the UK’s largest privately owned aquarium on the ground floor reception containing some 1200 fish.
The building is well known to Mellersh & Harding, having acted for a city tenant who took the 13,000 sq ft 20th floor. Stephen Weitzmann, Central London Office Agency Partner commented …“the client was relocating from a city core office and wanted something special. This building provides first rate accommodation with a fantastic view”
The Estates Gazette report that Heron are close to signing a new tenant on the 25th floor at around £70 per sq ft as against earlier deals in the building in the low £60’s per sq ft.
